| Suggest a remedy I've just self diagnosed by self as suffering from chronic boredom (and sleep seems no where in site), please suggest a remedy. |

| Playing Sudoku seems to get me out of my boredom plenty quickly. And Z...you do know how dangerous self diagnosis can be, right? |

| What's Sudoku? I have Blocks on my personalised Google home page, and I use to play that in the past to get rid of boredom but then I self diagnosed that I was becoming terminally addicted to that so had to leave that too. And dangers of self diagnosis? Really? I'm totally unaware. Enlighten me please. |

| Do you have any pets? What sort of pets are common place in Pakistan anyway? That could well help you relieve your boredom permanently!! |

| Oh dear...Andy, what have you done, I think I'm going to have to diagnose my self with minor depression now. We had many pets, but we're in the process of trying to move to a different country, so we found them new homes in advance, so they can get used to us being gone gradually rather then all of a sudden...I had just about managed to not stop missing them as much. Sigh. Our dogs went to an old retired couple we found through some family friends, I freed the birds and the fish were transferred to my dad's acquarium. Sigh. But for your question, pets aren't that common in Pakistan...but those who have them are very fond of them. People normally have cats, dogs, birds and fishes. Though one of my friends recently got a pair of rabits too. There was a time when my mom tried keeping a chicken, but it was too much too handle so we gave it away to a house maid, who gladly accepted the offer...I think she died after a while though, with cold, or something. My favorite pets are fishes, they're so undemanding...or at least, if can afford one of those cleaning guys who can come and do the stuff every weekend, or if you can buy one of those utlra high fy filters...like they had in Finding Nemo. My husbands really fond of the dogs we had, and I didn't mind them, but I liked out cats better, they're less intimidating, I like meows more then barks. And birds are delightful too...pretty, easy to manage...and you can stare at them, much like fishes, and forget about all your problems, drown them in their beauty as it were.... Gosh, I miss them. Sigh. |

Very sorry about that Z! I was just down the pet shop earlier considering purchasing some birds to keep as pets during our time in NZ... Where are you considering moving btw? |

Yes, it's addictive. And I am an addict. |

| Right Zainub - I am an expert at boredom, being a very boring person myself. 1) Write limericks about your 3 favourite cricketers, for instance (and making allowances for awful rhyming!) - Vaughany is back in our team, And his captaincy is looking quite mean, But it looks to me, As if he's only one knee, And that a return to past form is a dream! There's a cricketer who's hairy and plump, and he's had a big row with an ump, His fans call him aloo, But it's Inzi to you, For god's sake don't give him the hump! Warnie has taken a rest, He's finished as one of the best, But he's only thirty-seven, So wouldn't it be heaven, If he turned out for England in a test!
