what are you listening to?

For me as it's summertime, I thought I'd put some Beach Boys on, so it's The Beach Boys - Surfin' Safari.

Ahh - is that the one which was released about ten or fifteen years or so ago in which all the voices are Welsh, led, I think, by Richard Burton and Antony Hopkins? Has a wonderful theme tune to it as well. If you haven't got that one, let me know and I'll send you a publisher and disc number. If you like Thomas's masterpiece, you should have that version in the collection somewhere.

Local tinpot radio at the moment - so what ever flavour of the month is with them. I did have a quick listen to an old smiths tape the other after listening to that mark ronson effort. That aside I dont find I listen to much by choice really, which is quite sad.

Au fond du temple saint. From Bizet's Pearl Fishers. Always put it on "repeat" and listen to it for hours.

The one I have is from 1988, without Richard Burton but with Anthony Hopkins, Windsor Davies, Mary Hopkin, Aled Jones, Nerys Hughes, Angharad Rees, Harry Secombe ... in fact, you name 'em, they're all there except JPR Williams and Jonathan Edwards! It's released on EMI as CDS 7 91232 2. And it's wonderful stuff, even for a heartless Englishman!

Good choice... Well, the song and the thread. These sort of threads give an insight as to what people here are like when they're not talking cricket!!!

The last song i heard on my iPod was Semisonic "Singing in my Sleep". It ain't summer here, though the sun is shining.

Heavy rains...snow storms...the coldest temperature in 63 years! No, I do not want to listen to the Beach Boys at the moment. I'll get jealous, and I'm not that kind!

So, its Chicago this morning. Greatest Hits.
