Big Brother

After the debacle of the celebrity version with the racism row involving Shilpa Shetty and Jade Goody we have a new scandal within a week of the ordinary version with one of the housemates being booted out for using racist language.

The sooner this programme is scrapped the better as it serves no purpose apart from giving fame hungry idiots a platform to show how stupid they really are. Then incredibly some of them make money out of it.

This show should have been strangled at birth - why C4 thought we would be interested in watching people sleep in the wee hours is beyond me.

Possible the worst TV show ever - maybe along with "Extreme Make over" .

I have never been a fan of "reality shows" and can honestly state that I never watched one. (except "The Amazing race", when they came through SA...and I had to sit through a whole episode of the 2 ditzy Americans - who won - looking amazedly at the skyscrapers....Because its Africa you know, and people all live in huts here )

The last time we had a BB South Africa, the guy with the foulest mouth won...(and I really mean foul) Oh and he also made a loo out of the flower bed...And so he was plastered all over the front pages of newspapers and glossy magazines and yes, is now an A-list celebrity. And he got a million rands for his trouble.

The only way these types of shows will be canned, is if there is no more market for it. But unfortunately the world is full of people who have such miserable little personal lives, that they can sit through hours of people making a total mockery of themselves (so that they can probably feel good about themselves)

I have no idea why some people feel they have to be peeping toms. And why some have the need to be peeped at.

It really is an awful show, but will rumble on, as will the whole reality genre. Make your BB though, much more fun. Break in to a neighbours, put in hidden cameras and then proceed to move, hide, steal stuff and then watch the fireworks - the fun you could have.

Dont pull the plug to fast.
Lets get one of the Bush twins, a Bin Laden lad, Prince Harry, Paris Hilton, one of Tony Blairs kids and maybe Shane Warne as a loose cannon and try again.
