UK - India dual citizenship?

There have been rumblings about the possibility of dual citizenship between India and the UK for some years now, but I do not know of any concrete development as yet. The subject is of interest to someone like me because I am originally from India, but have lived and worked in the UK for the past 22 years. I hope to retire back to India in about 9 years time.

Any links or other info on this would be greatly aprreciated.

I am trying to get French nationality and you have to prove that your granny was buried in a peat bog and recycled as firelighters to qualify for dual nationality (well, not quite, but a lot of peprwork is needed; all translated!)

Thanks for the link. I don't have a family on my side and so I have no idea whether my granny was creamated, buried, recycled or canonised. I guess I'll have to take a chance.
