Club season almost over.

At the club I play for there are only a few games left in the season, due to a holiday and a wedding Saturday is my last game of the season. I cant believe this season has flown over, I have missed at least 8 games due to bad weather and feel i have hardly played any games.

Does anyone else feel this season has been a bit of a washout ??

Exactly the same. Of the 17 matches we've had so far this year, 6 have been washed out completely, 4 I've missed though being unavailable, which leaves 7. Two of those were ruined by the weather as well.

Which leaves two. At least the forecast for this weekend is looking okay at the moment... (touch wood)

Bah! Thats my season finished with a wimper. The opposition couldnt get a team out and conceded the
game.
The 20odd points are essential for us though.

And when the weather's nice... the opposition don't turn up. Net session it is then... again.

At least now I've discovered we still have three fixtures this year, the last one a re-match against our local rivals.

You'll do well to beat this boys!! Our midweek league consists of 5 teams so 8 games each. Out of our 8 games we have, believe it or not, had 9 washed out!!

Thats because all games are played at one of 2 grounds so there are many spare dates for re arrangements. We actually got 6 of the 8 played but I agree its been the worst summer for cancellations since I've been playing (about 20 years). So much for global warming!!
