No sorry it is not Dennis - although you are right in as much as he is the batsman in the picture! (another big clue to our mystery mans identity!)

Pete - I was visiting a friend yesterday and he had been given the complete set of 'Secret Policemans Ball' DVDs for his birthday and we watched the sketch where John Cleese hosts a game show where a blinfolded crossdressing Terry Jones gets beaten up by celebrities - and one of them was the aforementioned Mike Brearley. Good answer - did you get it from the infamous aluminium bat picture or did you know it already?

Just got it from the pic. I've never seen or even heard of Secret Policeman's Ball before
