hmm ok, never seen it, must be something nonsensical like Big Brother etc. Why would Tuffers go for it though..quite sad really, a cricketer demeaning himself with these other weird people.

He won it though and ended up getting his own radio show and a stupid advert for loans direct or some such where he seems to be wearing vast quantities of eye liner.

Wow, so much is happening in the world... I guess I should educate myself on popular culture here!

Should I change the TV dial away from BBC 4 and the History channel and on to "Smut TV" or whatever Channel 4 is now called :-)

Nah... I don't think I can deal with the high blood pressure brought on by watching "popular culture"!

Good decision... hence why I changed the name, the very sad thing is I will end up watchig it at some point......I did watch while Tuffers and John Lydon where in there, but that's cause they were intresing. I am afraid Joe Pasquale won't have the same pull...

God only knows why anyone ever signs up to this junk... and a shame he did it really: he still had some good cricket left in him.

The only thing I've heard in Tufnell's favour is that whatever he did.. he managed to impress some sorry folk at the Telegraph who should also have had better things to do with their time than watching such tat: he apparently emerged relatively unscathed and having revealed himself to be a far more likeable charachter than pretty much anyone else who has ever been involved in this sort of thing.

Well, I don't think there is any reason to suggest Tufnel shouldn't have done what he did, he obviously at that stage had no chance what so ever of playing for England so he was actually better of having some fun on his own. Praisworthy decesion by Gough though. And I hope it stops raining in Namibia, 'cause I'm some what looking forward to seeing England play those blokes, I actually don't think they disgraced them selves too much in the World Cup apart form their game agains Australia.

Sure, but the fact that one cannot play for England does not imply one has to necessarily demean oneself on smut tv! There are a lot of relatively more respectable things to do with oneself..such as rob banks or become a politician or a journalist! But "reality television" (aka smut tv) ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!
