Pit you wits, here's another mini quiz

And it's on someone I have nick named 'you-know-who'...I'm talking of non other than Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff. Good Luck.

1)Where was Andrew Flintoff born?

2)When Freddie played for Lanchashire 2nd XI, his team mates included Mark Chilton, now a successful English county batsman, and another 15 year old who is now more famous as Manchestor United and England footbatter, can you name him?

3)How many GSCEs did Freddie manage to get at school?

4)Which of Freddie's former coahces once said "I supose I treat him like a son"?

5)Which ex England captain, also a Cambridge graduate, did Freddie once beat a game of chess?

1. Preston, Lancs

2. One of the Neville Brothers - I am guessing Gary (which means it is probably Phil)

5. Must have been Athers....

1. Absolutely correct

2. Phil Neville was the right answer. Freddie recalls "Phil would open the batting with Mark [Chilton]. I'd come in at number 4 and then Phil would bowl them out for a pastime. The rest of the team didn't do a great deal. Phil played for Lanchashire Second XIs when he was 15 and I'm certain he could have made it to the top level. I suppose the chance of earning slightly more money than at cricket's other Old Trafford might just have swung it for him"

5. Micheal Atherton it was. Freddie says "I don't play all that often these days, but I use to play a bit of chesss as a boy. They England lads don't beleive me, but I did represent Lanchashire Schools at Chess and - although he doesn't like to be reminded of it - I beat Mike Atherton once. And he's never asked for a game since!"

That's correct too RBLC. Here are a few more for everyone to work on..

1)Which player took the catch that secured the Ashes for England in 1987?

2)Which Australian umpire called Muttiah Muralitharan for throwing in Adelaide in 1999?

3)Who was the first English test cricketer to be fined for misconduct during a test match?

4)Who was the only English spinner to take a wicket in the 1998 series against South Africa?

And this is a special one for RBLC,

5)Whose autobiography is called 'Anything But An Autobiography'?

That's incorrect. It wasn't his dad or Ernest but a former England player and coach, who also coached Lanchashire
