I always went for my lucky pants, mainly because they were that bit tighter thus keeping my box where it should be and not round my knee. Couldnt get to grips with jockstraps.

is this too much detail ???????

No! Those lucky boxer shorts i wear have saved many a knee cap. Unfortunately i'm reminded of this each time i gaze at the mantle piece and see the pickle jar.

Atherton would never give an interview if he was 'not out' over night, but I think that was true of a few others as well.

Jack Russel had hundreds of them, from his hat, to his tea, to his sunglassess...

I can still feel the trickle of sweat as the box edges nearer the boxershort edge.Sometimes I wake up and think it's a dream but the preserving fluid kind of glows comfortingly in the grey gloom reminding me of what once was.

LOL !!!!!!!!!

I dont know whats worse, it slipping as the bowler runs up resulting a 2 seconds of fear and the best defensive shot you've ever played or it slipping mid way through the first run, resulting in you hobbling down the track like a drunk with a wooden leg for the second.

Well, Nelsons (111) is stumps without bails, 222, 333 etc are just multiples of that. 87 is 13 away from 100.

A lot of cricketers don't shave during a match. Don't know whether this is a superstition or just a good excuse.
