In the words of Charlie Collwile (spelling?) Kallis is now an occasional bowler, and by that I mean he likes to bowl occassionaly

Can anyone possibly argue that Lara is not the best batsman of the last 20 years. I'm always reluctant to say that anyone was better (in my lifetime) than IVA, but Lara really is something special. Two back to back tests where he is likely to score over 50% of the team total. Genius. A bit like Ronnie O'Sullivan. If he had his head screwed on we might have seen the closest thing we're ever likely to get to Bradman. I suppose they can't all be Samprases and Tiger Woodses

Hmmm, I am not sure if you can categorically state that Lara is the best batsman over the past 20 years, but it is definitely an arguable point. I guess it is because he plays for such a mediocre side. I don't think we will ever see such a talented player play for such a mediocre side ever again.
