There are two twits in the England side who have had the shave, aren't there? Not clever in a Southern African summer. If either of them had done it whilst in the army and picked up a touch of sunstroke, he would be on a charge for a self-inflicted wound. If either of them gets a touch of sunstroke whilst touring for England, I would hope to see pay being docked. I have no patience with this at all. Feel much the same about the habit - largely developed under Nasser Hussain's captaincy, I think - of appearing unshaven at the start of play. Come on Vaughanie, get some discipline back into that shower!

You've got me there, Zainub! I just saw mention of it on the BBC messageboard the other day and promptly forgot the names. Earlier in this thread Anderson was mentioned, wasn't he? Could it be him and Wharf?

Has anyone got any pics of Colin 'Funky' Miller? He had some spectacular hair colourings. A few years ago when they were playing the Windies, he'd dyed it green and gold for Australia day. When he came on to bowl, he took of his cap and Courtney Walsh (who was on strike) collapsed in a fit of giggles.

Any of you web-monkeys find any pictures of him - he had blue hair too at one point.

Aggers reported Anderson and Jones (S), Wharf already had a skinhead.

I thought the blue hair and the fit of giggles was the same game.

You're right. That takes Wharf off my possible charge sheet. Anderson and Jones still on probation, and both a pair of dickies in any case.

Is this some sort of a new strategy then?
