I'd go the opposite actually. I think he'll play for the lions with old mate Sir Clive in charge (also expect martin johnson inthere which will help, laurance too) and we've got a very good chance of winning. Then he'll be njured again (in training probably) and stay that way until, lo! Andy Robinson gets sacked and then he MIGHT make a full recovery.

John Hopoate, so long the NRL's problem child has finally been sacked by Manly. Watch Johnny Wilkinson, he's moving to "Union" and his digit will be on a mission to penetrate the rear telescopic sight of superboot.

Being a Melburnian, I do support the Storm but they come second to the Bulldogs, who I began to support in about 98. So when the Bulldogs and Storm clash, I'm about 52% Canterbury 48% Melbourne.

Hoppa is an idiot...He could've made so much out of his career, instead he let a talented career go to waste. Also, I was disgusted to see one of the games veterans, Terry Hill, giving Hoppa encouragement after that disgusting tackle.

Terry Hill has followed Hoppa around a few clubs, and also similiarly stuffed his own playing and media career up by some on and off feild stupidity. I'll also chuck in a couple of names of a coach and assistant coach at West Tigers who almost encouraged Hoppa to stick his finger in at the time; Terry Lamb & Paul Langmack.

Lions to be announced today

Sir Clive Woodward will announce his 44 man squad at 1200 BST today. I'll post a link as soon as the details appear on the BBC website.

Dallaglio in. Tindall, Vickery and Wilkinson not in. Woodward says this does not rule them out completely, as long as they demonstrate form and fitness with their clubs over the coming weeks. Brian O'Driscoll will be captain. Woodward says only 42 names have been announced, so that two places remain open. The BBC's man on the spot has noted 44 names, and indeed the press release linked below has 44. I guess they'll sort that out in due course!

Link here to the full announced squad.
