Ditto to that. I'm totally unfamiliar with ARF too. The only thing I know about Aussie Rules is that Aussie rules is played by Aussies (only) and that players get to wear sleeve less shirts ... I like that, sort of.

Acctualy there are a few small leagues all around the world... Especialy in Irland who play a simmiler game called Galic football. Australia ussualy select a team of players to compeate against the Irish in the 'International Rules' series.

There are a couple big rivalries Port and the Crows (both South Australian teams vying for the title of the best in the state)

West Coaste and Fremantle pretty much as the same as above, cept Fremantle have a woeful record against WestCoast

Collingwood and Essendon have a fierce rivalry
Collingwood and Carlton have a fierce rivalry
Collingwood and most other teams have a fierce rivalry
Essendon and Carlton
Brisbane and Sydney

Most hated team... Collingwood
a good website to go to is
http://www.thepowerfromport.com/portal.php

or http://portadelaidefc.com.au/default.asp?pg=news

http://afl.com.au/
the last one is the home of afl in australia.

Don't mind the team, it's the supporters I can't stand.

Ahh, A Power fan. At a game a week ago vs. Richmond, a bloke stood up during a fairly stagnant passage of the game and said "ALLAN SCOTT, YOU WERE RIGHT", and the whole crowd broke into histerics.

I realise ACL has been quite helpful with the understanding in all of this, but I'll provide you with updates now and again. The ladder as it stands.
At the end of the season, the final eight teams compete in the finals series. It is, without a doubt, the most exciting sport in the world.
