| They are bookmakers, Zainub: they take bets from people. Some people claim to win money back from them, but their claims should be treated with suspicion at best. The old adage is "If you want to win money at roulette, buy a casino". The same applies with bookmakers in my experience!

| To be honest, I don't trust the bookie's odd to much on anything. I always believe miracles can happen. Anyway, I hope you guys pick someone more sensible. I'm not really a fan of Tony Blair at all. ps: if any one finds my remarks on Mr Blair offensive, let me know, I'll try and be kind Last edited by Zainub : 06-04-2005 at 04:49 PM. |

| Zainub, in UK election campaigns, the candidates themselves typically out-do everyone in offensive comments. Sadly, we are likely to be in for four weeks of name-calling and probably less political debate than can usually be heard in a place where politics are almost never discussed - the House of Commons for example. Point is, you be as offensive as you like: you'll never get close to Mr Blair, Mr Howard or Mr Kennedy (or any of the rest of the 2,000 or so people who are likely to stand for election to the 646 vacant jobs).

| Polictics is nasty buisness everywhere. But its sometimes quite entertaining to follow, this buisness of election. Hillarious even at times. |

| Oh, yes. I am an addict, in fact. A cynic, but completely addicted to the election process. My days are presently being lost in reading newspapers and websites. Can't be good for me!

| Good on you. Can't be too bad, after all, it's only happens once in every four years. Down here, my family is shocking lazy when it comes to elections, last year I had to bribe them to go and vote, for some one at least, if not Imran Khan. |

| I'll move Zainub's comments up a gear. Mr Bliar isn't just someone 'not to be a fan of', he's a slimey, smarmy prat! If I didn't find the tories just as offensive then I'd know who to vote for. In fact, if I thought a vote in my constituency of New Forest West would have any affect whatsoever on the outcome then I'd be first in line for the polling station. A vote for anyone other than tories here is a vote for the loser. I just hope Tony the Tw*t resigns and Gordon 'Golden' Brown comes in. We might get some social justice then. Even then, he's the best of a bad bunch. Argggh! I hate politicians In the words of Richard Pryor in Brewster's Millions, "Vote for none of the above" |
