My girlfriend isn't a member here, but she's a big fan of cricket, so I'll tell you how she got into the game.

Firstly, she started getting into cricket when she was a teenager when she was scoring for her dad's club side. She lost interest at university when more important things came up. More recently, as I'm a cricket fan, that's reminded her of the game. She's a huge fan of Freddie Flintoff as well which has helped develop her interest. Finally, when she actually found a women's club to play for, she's found that she's a fan of playing the game as well.

Blimey! Women's cricket in the New Forest? Things have certainly changed since I was there, Andy!

I've got no objections, though you better get the facts straight I didn't. It was 1805 not 1803.

I played Junior cricket with a girl who's likely to go on and represent Victoria at senior level. I also played with her brother who is a freak of nature and currently training with the Aussie u/19 squad... Bloody talented family all up!

I still remember this girl sweeping the opposition's opening bowler for four!

Most girls I know care about ODI's. They don't seem to have the interest and/or patience to bother about test cricket. I guess it's more to do with the glamour ODI's bring around with them.

My ex girl friend started watching *some* cricket, since I was such a fanatic. She never had any interest in cricket. Living in India that's an achievement I would say.

I'm not unsurprizingly the odd one out here (and in the whole wide world?). My fiance is a poster here, she's the one who gets me to watch cricket and post here, and a few other places. I'm not that intimate with any kind of sport my self. Just doesn't come to me naturally.

It means kirsty, that you look at life, "Through rose colored glasses"
"Or you aways expect a favorable outcome or dwelling on hopeful aspects".
