I'm over looking things as well. Why does the roving reporter have to be a female? Aren't we better of sitting in the comentary box all day long, you know, those are air conditioned, and if I'm correct give you a better view of your favorite players.

One of the radio / TV stations has a female roving reporter called Eleanor Oldroyd and she's really good. However, one of th best sumarisers I've ever heard on the radio is a West Indian lady call Donna something, she was great, knowledgable and had a fantastic voice. She was on the team on merit and regardless of age, sex or playing history.

No worries Leafy....

Newsflash: WAT TV and WAT Radio have been given exclusive Ashes Broadcasting rights...

TV TEAM:

Richie Benaud's Love Child (The host, the one and only, fits smoothly into the cream....Also taking care of self glamourising interviews)
Andy Mellon (The Tony Greig role, pitch report and ****** stirring)
Paoli69 (The impersonator, also the Kerry O'Keeffe of the tv...but not making viewers laugh with an annoying laugh!!)
Rachael (The Ian Chappell of the team...Would make sitting at home for 8 hours watching a frustrating game seem thoughtful)
Acker (The Ian Healy, from Queensland....But with a slight intelligent edge on Heals)
Beny (The Aussie along with yours truly providing views on how we just can't be beaten)
Teatime Fat Cat (A bit of a Mark Taylor....Maybe because of the Fat Cat thing)

Radio

Milo (Peter Roebuck written all over him)
Occasional Fan (Likes cricket the old way, Greg Chappell sounds about right for me)
Seamer (Jim Maxwell)
Ernest (Part of the older brigade and takes a central role on the radio...The Pro-England commentator...Someone like a David Lloyd for me, without the Yorkshirian accent)
Kirsty Harris (The interviewer during the breaks)
Mike (Takes a very central role, him and Ern would make a great duo, Mike being the more realistic of the two)

Paoli, can you consider adding Alison to the mix, she could be handy you know. After all you will need some one to criticize the bad hair styles of players , especially given Kirsty will already be busy with her roving roperter duties, and especially given Bam Bam might play.

Well, in that case Paoli, I'll take that as a huge compliment. Roebuck it is then. I remember his role in the Viv Richards/Joel Garner affair at Somerset and really never respected him after that.

To be fair, I have never heard him commentate on the radio although I have read much of what he has written. Never really liked him. But maybe that was because he was 'Cricketer' man (I also dislike CMJ with a passion), and I always bought the 'Wisden Cricket monthly'. When they merged it was a very sad day for me

Zainub, your criticism of Kevin Pietersen IMO differs from mine....But your criticism of his hairstyles are completely unfounded...I reckon he has the best hairstyle in the game without a doubt!!!

I admit I have terrible bias against anyone who has mullets or anything close to having long hair, sometimes my criticism is just plain wrong, unfounded and baseless, but I can't help it. And I'm not that big a fan of streaks either. Nevertheless I respect your like of his hairstyle completely. Are you still considering given Alison a role in the radio/tv commentary?
