Arsenal's still in the Premier league Sheffield Wednesdays not !
Man Utd kicked on to a European Champions win Crystal Palace did'nt!
Denis Wise played for 3 different FA cup contesting team's and Laurie Sanchez became a hero: Their opposing Liverpool players became no-body's.
Big games affect everybody. |
Quite.
Sheffield wednesday are in the situation they are in due to trevor francis paying way over the odds for average players on long term contracts, using all the money they earent duting their cup runs (they also got into the final of League cup too, and finished 4th in the league, i think). Due to all these avaerage players they got nowhere fast and couldnt replace them because they couldnt sell them on and if they did it was for peanuts. Total mismanagment. Southampton prior to that were nothing and still are. It was a blip. Crystal palce are a small not-very-well-known south london club, man utd have and probably always wil be global giants.
Liverpool team of the 80s. Would that be the one with international lumiaries like Hansen, laurenceson, grobbelar, jan Molby, Dalgleshe was manager I thihnk. And liverpool with professional hardman vinnie Jones, proffessional idiot/reality tv .eejit John fashanu, and former wycombe wanderes and current northern ireland manger laurie Sanchez.
