"Occasional Fan" may not quite chime with my post count here, but I picked it a while ago when I made my maiden post to the BBC's Scrum V rugby union board - a game I know little about and only follow during the Six Nations and World Cup competitions. I then found that the same name is good for all BBC boards so you'll find it on their TMS board, a couple of political boards and - not sure I should admit this one - the message board for the Radio 2 Terry Wogan programme. When I came here I just brought the same name with me.

My real name is Aloysius Entwhistle.

I was, briefly, Geoff Boycotts Gay Lover on the beeb board, but strangely, the mods took umpage with and I got banned.

Carlton Football Club unofficial forum. I took an RBLC approach by calling myself Brendan Fevola's Love Child- Fevola being Carlton's spearhead forward. Zimboway, was one I held on an Aussie Cricket Forum, and yahh, that's about it.

Good to know it's only a slight dislike. Your reference to the final in question brings back fond memories, when it was almost a right for Lancs to be playing at Lord's on a Saturday in early September. I believe Glen Chapple was the main destroyer that day, taking 6 or 7 wickets with a ridiculous amount of swing. Ah, happy days! Of course Essex were top dogs during the days of Gooch, Foster (Neil) etc. How are the mighty fallen.

There is no earthly reason behind Teatime FatCat, just a collection of half-arsed ideas that made up the name. I am tubby, and have a healthy regard for cricket teas, which I have been known to demolish at a great rate. I do, however pull off the occasional fabulous catch (always fabulous, very occasional) and show a flash of lithe athleticism. This led to me being referred to as 'The Cat', which quickly became 'Bagpuss' (the fattest cat anyone at our club could think of!). I had previously been known as 'Cakeman' for obvious reasons above - therefore Teatime FatCat was born.

I was also TTFC on the Beeb board (some of the older regulars may just remember) but I left there pretty sharpish as it didn't suit me and all the good posters were leaving for here anyway!

My real name is very boring and I am something big in Wooden Toys - (from The Czech Republic no less!)

I've never liked Glen Chapple. That game maked me dislike him even more. Him and pie-man and Darren Robinson look-a-like Ian Austin Oooh. Lancs. The Thorn in my Essex side

Moving on... Sure, it isn't the glory days at Essex any more, but I think we've got a very good side at the moment with some great youngsters (Cook, Bopara, Pettini, Palladino). I've always found it sad though when we've lost some of those guys along the way (Peters, Robinson, Knight, Shahid, JJB Lewis)

Go on. Who's 'pie man'? As it's mid 1990s we're talking about, it can't be Freddie. Austin's the only chunky player I can think of.

Yeah, he says Ian Austin. Chunky bowling all-rounder. I think he played a few ODIs for England near the end of his career. Can't quite remember if he played or was simply in the squad. 'Oscar' was no world beater, but a thoroughly professional and dependable cricketer.
