| Right, I'm going to get a bit less 'facts & figures' with my one - Who am I - I played for two different test sides as a battling top order batter. I probably played on a bit too long to be honest, but I had a reasonably good record and captained both countries. I have returned to county cricket as a coach, and may give something back to my chosen county through a member of my family who has become a first team member. I have a very squashy nose,

| I know it's RBLC's turn.. but I'm going to throw this one in anyway as I've dug up some decent trivia on the guy in question. In my short Test career I never played on a losing England side. Indeed, more often than not I played in a winning England side. Played some tough opposition as well: nothing but. I was dismissed by Ambrose twice, and Warne also got me, as did Marshall. In return I bagged (amongst others) Haynes, Richards, Taylor and Boon. Seeing as I'm name dropping I should also add that Steve Waugh once took a catch to dismiss me. That's enough on the International front for the moment.. but you should also know that I was one of the initial XI players inducted into my county's hall of fame... and I've been awarded an honorary MSc in recognition of my contribution to cricket in Britain and my service to my county. |

| That didn't take long: I thought that was pretty obscure! Interesting Test career, really: he only played 3 matches, two of which were won by England (the other was drawn) and talk about a tough debut: Ambrose, Marshall, Walsh and Patterson captained by Viv Richards with Haynes, Richardson, Hooper and Dujon.. with only Malcolm, Defreitas and Pringle to share the cherry and no one but Gooch and Robin Smith prepared to stand up and be counted with the bat. http://www.cricinfo.com/link_to_data...10JUN1991.html His final Test wasn't much easier: in the second innings he took Slater, Taylor and Boon before the score reached 30.. and that stil left the Waugh brothers, Border and (his 4th wicket of that innings) Healy. ****hole Malcolm took the other three top orer wickets that day and Fraser polished off the rest... http://www.cricinfo.com/link_to_data...23AUG1993.html |

| Who Am I? - For every test run I have scored I have taken 1.81 (approx.) test wickets - My middle name is the same as Alec's surname - I was dispatched for four runs to bring up the final century of a former international captain's career - It sounds like I was born in Kent, but I wasn't (big clue to get nationality) - It sounds like my child should be named after a fruit, but they are not This is a testing one!!!
