Who am I ?

- I was born in, played for, and died in Lemming's home county.

- In all forms of cricket (from League/Club up to Test) I averaged 8.33, with the ball!!!

- My test match career involved only games against Australia and South Africa.

- My name has been mentioned on this forum before!

Sorry, incorrect!

I'm afraid my home county is neither London nor Cape Province, South Africa. Let alone both!

I believe Sydney Barnes is the correct answer. Reportedly he is the best bowler ever, being able to swing, spin, and move the ball off the seam, either way, without any apparent change in his bowling action.

And he's from Staffordshire!

Back of the net!!!

Your turn Milo

1) After 42 tests, when I took my second extended break from the test team, I averaged only 35.
2) My entire career reputation is based on a long purple patch whilst captain (2300 runs in 2 years at 70).
3) My last 10 tests bought 400 runs at under 20.
4) My average away from England is only 37, with only 25% of my overall centuries coming on my travels.
5) I am regarded as an English all-time great, but God knows why.
