County Individuals

What is the best ENGLISH team that may be put together following the rule that no county may be represented more than once? For example, Vaughan and Hoggard may not play together. Luckily at the moment we don't really have that many clashes, but it will be interesting to see what people will come up with.

(I'm looking forward to the battle between Ian Bell and Ashley Giles)

Here goes nothing:

Trescothick (Somerset)
Strauss (Middlesex)
Vaughan (Yorkshire)
Thorpe (Surrey)
Pietersen (Hampshire)
Flintoff (Lancashire)
Foster (Essex)
Giles (Warwickshire)
S Jones (Glamorgan)
Harmison ( Durham)
J Lewis (Gloustarshire)

Hmm....looks like a strong team. Not too shabby

Just hope none of them have changed counties while my back was turned

That's Ashley Giles 1 - 0 Ian Bell!

Very interesting that you have picked Foster of Essex to keep wicket before both G Jones (Kent) and Read (Notts). Do you like him or something? Other than that not a bad team, in fact as may be expected I suppose.

To be honest I was having difficulty remembering who G Jones was playing for these days, so went with Foster to be on the safe side . I do rate Foster though, and Read too. Both are better wicket keepers than Jones, IMO. Foster probably got into the England side to soon.

Thorpe (Surrey)
Pietersen (Hampshire)
Flintoff (Lancashire)
