| I've heard the name of this tv show a lot, never actually managed to find out what's it's really all about. Would anyone like to tell me? |

| Science Fiction. About a person who can travel through time and space.. in a police box. And his appearance can change too. He doesn't die, he regenerates into someone else. |

| It's hard to explain, but i'll give it a twirl!! The Doctor is a TimeLord, who has a time machine, called the TARDIS (which looks like an old fashioned blue police box). He can use this to travel through time and space, anywhere he likes - although due to BBC budgetry constraints he mostly opts for Earth. The Doctor does not die, but he regenerates - there have been nine of them so far (if you include the one who was in the rubbish American one-off show), all of them rather different in appearence, personality and temprament. The best one's to date (IMO) have been Tom Baker and Peter Davidson (but that's just cause I grew up watching them, I'm sure!), and Chris Ecclestone has done a lovely job too, as the current doctor. Along the way, they meet up with some lovely people, who become their Companions, and together they lark around saving the universerse from evil-doers like the Daleks and Cybermen, who, trust me, are seriously nasty dudes!! Well, that'll have to do, as a start...

| Peter Davidson?! You should be made to watch a whole series of Sylvester McCoy now I first started watching it near the end of the show when it was aired in 1989. But I saw repeats on BBC2 and UKGold. Jon Pertwee was my favourite doctor, I thought he had all of the best storylines. The Daemons, Terror of the Autons, Sea Devils and Planet of the Spiders. Not keen on this new series. Some of the jokes just haven't been working and the stories are over too quickly at times. Plus! How come nobody questions a police box at the bottom of a block of council flats in south London?! |

| Aha, sounds interesting. Does it ever come on BBC Prime, I get that down here, I will check listing if its available to me. |

I agree about the stories being too short at times. I have enjoyed the two-parters more than the one part shows, but overall I think it's been great! Bringing a show back from the dead takes some doing, and I applaud Russel T Davis for bringing the series up to date without losing the essence of the series. And of course, it still has the coolest theme music EVER!!! Pete, did you see the episode with the Dalek in it? That was really great!! When their taking the pee out of the Dalek because it can't get up the stairs, and then it goes 'levetate' so funny!!!

I did see that Dalek episode, but I wasn't too impressed with the ending of it. It was meant to be a ruthless killing machine |

| I can't even believe I like this show. It must be the only Sci-Fi program that I like and the old 70's type FX when watching old episodes don't bother me much either |
