You mean Harrods? I've never been either. But the dress code probably would mean I wouldn't get in, not that I dress funny, but just wear jeans. I'll probably stick to Woolworths I think.

I think this is a common trick used by supermarkets to get people in the mood for buying food.

Does it use your tap water supply? Before "reverse-osmosing" obviously! A year or two ago Coca Cola started selling tap-water that had been through a reverse-osmosis prosess for an extortionate amount. It was called Danasi, they recieved loads of bad-media for charging 95p a bottle:

Yes, I meant my tap water gets reverse "osmosised" (not sure if these are words) . I think the water I drink is pretty pure. Otherwise I'd be sick , or something.

By the way, I knew you were joking - I just said anyway.

I get the bread smell from the bakery near by. I'd add in addition to the smell offers like "buy 2 breads, get ...(something really nice and useful) free" are also pretty tempting.

Surely Inzamam is the best person to ask about that! Check out what he has for tea after four hours in the field.

Tea wins for me, any day. Coffee is an emergency resort when you have assignments coming out of your ears and not enough ours in a "normal" day to do them (cf. the middle of term 2 in my second year at uni, the most intense part of my degree!).

Good call, what a contest that'd be! Maybe David Boon would like to join in also.

I think David Boon holds the record for the number of bottles of lager on a flight from Australia to England, it's about 45ish or something like that.

It's apparently 52 cans of lager, he set it going to England for the 1989 Ashes series. His record is closely followed by England's Rugby World Cup winner Mike Tindall who consumed 50 on the way back from down under.

Boon - saw him play at Durham once. Out for a golden duck attempting the most lethargic of cover drives!

I still reckon Gatt rules in the eating stakes (or should that be steaks?!).

Been away from the forum for a few days, I come back and read this. Laughed so much it hurt. Well done, Fattie! I've never heard that one, but it's brilliant.
