They all sound pretty cool! But I think, maybe we should get rid of jumping on mats and swinging on rings to make space for the Darts.

Congratulations London! And yes, Lemming, I don't think hosting the Olympics is at all a hassle in one of the world's leading nations like Great Britain. Obviously, that is providing no fallouts with sub-contractors and the like. Seb Coe will surely light the torch; then again, the Queen would have a show if she's still alive! The only other chances are Sir Steven Redgrave and possibly one of the 4 x 100 metre boys; provided you can pull off another win in Beijing!

The sailing is going to be off Weymouth, I belive - which is belived to be an excellent venue for sailing, due to the currents and so on. I mention the sailing because my Uncle lives on the Isle of Portland and was telling me he was going to make a fortune renting his house out to tourists if we got the Olympics, and go on a crusie with the profit he makes!! He'll be a happy man today!!

Overall, I think the locations we have for the events look first rate, being able to make use of the great parks that London has for some of the events is a real positive point! I enjoy three-day eventing, so if I could get tickets for that I'd be happy

Cheer up...perhaps the next time we get the Olympics (say in 2072!!!) it'll be held at Cowes - unless globel warming has lead to Cowes being submerged!!!

I don't really know

I just remember reading a while ago that it might come to Cowes if England got the olympics. Now they've given it to Weymouth

Here's a thought: Andy Murray 2012 Olympic tennis champion, anyone? He'll only be 25! How great would that be!!

I'm imagining you saying that in a Dorset-farmer accent, when having an argument about what the best things ever are!
