It Could be Rotterdam, or Anywhere, Liverpool or Rome!

Steven Gerrard is leaving Liverpool, or so it seems. I hope he does, personally, being a Man Utd fan. This thread is for you to discuss where you reckon European Cup Winner Steven will have to beg to get some football next season.

Closet Liverpool fan

Aha - my pet topic.

If you are intetested ingetting clued up on this subject here are the sources I use:

Koptalk - The best unofficial fans website on Liverpool FC (the Admin is close to the players)
Red and White Kop - Another great an site - with acres of coverage on Gerrard and all things Liverpool FC
Liverpoolfc.tv - the official site
This is Anfield - All liverpool FC, all the time

And of course football365, teamtalk, worldsoccer, etc.

The bookies still have SG as odds-on to stay and I think he will.

Melbourne Victory!

He's decided to look to the future (perhaps 20 years or so)

I hope he goes to Madrid. Gravesen will be on his way back into the real world then.

Well, Liverpool probably don't want him. They can't afford the £150,000 a week he's demanding! BUT, maybe they feel that £32 million is overpriced for him. I would say more of around the £7.5M-£10M is more realistic and Liverpool don't want to mess any other clubs around.

It's his own fault! Liverpool wanted to keep him a month or two ago. Apparently it was his favourite club, the only club he wanted to play for, but didn't want to sign a contract. Now they've had enough of him. The quicker he goes to Real Madrid, becomes a galactigo (or whatever they call themselves), and starts pussying around like the reat of them there, the quicker his career goes down the pan! It's blatently going to happen!

If he wants a decent career, there is only one place where he will achieve good things, and keep the discipline required to stay on track, Man Utd! But, we don't want him, he's too big for his boots!

Go to Madrid, Gerrard, let the events of the next few days develop into the beginning of the end of your career. Good riddance!

Let's get Phil Neville in England's centre midfield!

By the way Liverpool, Djemba-Djemba is going for a decent price, he should fit into a mid-table club like yourselves!

Oh Yeah! I can't stand Liverpool, having them at the top was bad for the game and the quicker they decend from European Champions the better as far as I'm concerned!

I've read on Ceefax that Steven Gerrard has turned down £100,000 a week from the current European Champions. Firstly, I think he should be given some grief from the Liverpool fans. This is meant to be the club he loves, you can't get better than that, they're current European Champions, you can't get better than that, and he's turning down £100,000. Now I may be a cynic but you can actually get better than £100k a week, and you always said it wasn't about the money eh Steve? Get to Madrid mate, you belong there!

I suppose his mate Beckham has been on the phone, (ASIDE: Shouldn't Beckham be training instead of being at live8 and the Olympics?) telling him how little you can train at Madrid and have a great lifestyle! I suppose Gerrard will be fully expecting to play 100 times for England next, like David! Jogging around, demanding the ball and then doing something rubbish before not being bothered to get it back next, like David!

Rooney's the way forward for me! So long as he stays at United under the second-to-none guidance of Ferguson he'll always improve as a player, he's going to achieve twice as much as Beckham and Gerrard put together in his career! You mark my words!!!
