I'll read it, but don't think it warrants the craze that surrounds it. There are plenty of writers who have done just as well as Rowling has, and have actually invented a whole new set of characters and places for each new book.

3 Little Pigs is very good, but not a patch on either Flat Stanley or Fantastic Mr Fox. Those two are a cut above in the world of children's stories.

I enjoy it, but I also enjoy an awful lot of other books, and there are a number of series where I've been much more eager/impatient to get hold of the next book.

I've read all the books and must admit I enjoy them, which probably will mean I'll go ahead with the next book. But with book, well and movie, the hype seems to die down, and I think it won't be long before I start to become disinterested altogether. Lets face it, he is still just a boy wizard.. oooo exciting stuff....

I take strong exception to that comment Sir*! There is no comparison between the wonder, magic, warmth, imagination and the sheer joy of an Enid Blyton, and the recycled, regurgitated, half-baked mythology of a JK Rowling. The former is a proper children's author, and the latter..well a tasteless commercial enterprise which has duped many children and even some 'young' adults!

* There you go RBLC, someone calling you Sir in a totally non scene-making context
