  • Shane Warne - from 5 county championship matches so far he's picked up 39 wickets at 17.10. 4 x 5fers and 1 x 10fer. Best of 6-27.
  • Simon Katich - 5 county games, 8 innings 533 runs, 2 x 100, 4 x 50. Plus 10 wickets at 22.80 with his SLA. Though IRL i'm sure he bowls chinamen?
I'm doing ok in the county championship too. 5 matches, 4 won and 1 drawn. But i've still not mastered the one day games. Played 4, lost 3 and won only one.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Has anyone else been playing the game?
Play as Derbyshire and report your progress in here, it keep me wanting the game until I persuade my wife it would be a good idea to buy it me.

This isn't a cricket game, but I've enjoyed playing it. My record so far is only 14, but my technique is improving and I'm trying to get a 50!

I scored 317 today in a totesport league game, but I still managed to lose it

Shane Warne buggered off at the end of the season too.

I did alright in a Totesport match with Virender Sehwag scoring 156 not out and Stuart Law 134 not out for Lancs. I ended 0-295 and got Warks out for 196.

It's a frustrating game, however. Perhaps my greatest moment was when I made 268, which in reply Warwicks scored 459 for 1. I then scored 312 all out and bowled Warks out for 98. What a game!

Great idea to sign Sehwag Paoli. I had him for two season and he scored about 7,500 runs for me altogether in all competitions.

My highlights are getting 345 in a Totesport match.

Sehwag scoring 424 in a first class match.

Winning all four trophies two seasons running (and 17 in 6 seasons).

Gambhir (Indian keeper-batsman) scoring 2,500 first class runs in one season.

I've tried to score 1,000 in an innings, but only got to about 950 at best, my ambition is to also win the toss, bat and then bat for four days solid for a draw. It won't happen though.

I have been captaining Lancs for six years now; this is the fourth that I am managing England!

Lancs side looks like this: Ed Smith, MP Vaughan, Ed Joyce, Flintoff, Marcus North (Kolpaker), Rikki Clarke, Malachy Loye (Keeper), Chad Keegan, Andrew Crook, Jim Anderson, D. Harrison.

England: Strauss, Trescothick, Pietersen, Troughton, Vaughan, Flintoff, Prior, Panesar, Harmison, SP Jones, Anderson.

As you can see, not alot of variation, except for the fact that Jefferson plays ODI's instead of Vaughan.

Andrew Strauss and KP are my batting stars: In a series in South Africa Strauss' scores went like this: 2, 355, 320, 84, 112, 10, 9, 43, 67, 208. He was the No.1 test batsman for ages, a fete now held by KP; who also holds it for the ODI's. Panesar has turned into a bona fide legend, taking 324 wickets in only 56 test matches! Simon Jones, who once took 9-93 and 10-42 in a test match, is also very good, whilst Harmy is good for nothing except cleaning up the bowlers.

Currently in my third season as Derbyshire. I have won 2 Twenty20 titles and also am about to win division 1 of both the County Championship and Sunday League. It is wierd playing with Derbyshire as you have 4 overseas classed players at the start - Di Venuto (AUS) Hasan Adnan (PAK) Friend (ZIM) and Botha (SA) - and can play them all, but you do need to get rid of 3 of them before you sign others. My stars have been Di Venuto, Sutton and Moss. My current team is,

DiVenuto, Stubbings, Bryant (although in process of replacing him with youth teamer Allenby), Moss, Alfridi, France, Sutton, Lungley, Dean, Hutchinson, Dawson.

As you can see I have only brought Alfridi, Hutchinson and Dawson in from outside Derbyshire, the rest of the team was there at the start. Alfridi has been great averaging 85 with the bat in fc and taking lots of wickets with Dawson in a spin tandem.

There has been no mention of coaching England, although winning 3 out of the 4 trophies this year might change that and no call ups for any of my players.

Is this game a bit easier than previous versions? I am playing on easy.

I have now been made England manager as well as Derbyshire. I had tours of Sri Lanka (won 2-1 in 3 tests) and New Zealand (lost 1-0 in 2 tests) and am nearly ready to start the new season. Steve Stubbings made a good debut in the New Zealand series and Luke Sutton would have played but for my decision to use Trescothick as a wicket keeper.
