My goodness - who'd be a captain with this lot!

To be fair Olly, the Ice Cream Van end is the end for the more 'moderately' paced amongst us. There is a hidden ridge that can sometime cause the ball to rear alrmingly. Be careful though, drop short and you could be pulled into the doberman farm, and we'll make you go and get the ball!

No worries there TTFC... I've never knowingly been known to knowingly drop the ball short.

I think.

I need a square leg and third umpire. Fourth won't be needed since they never do anything.

We could rig up a small 3rd Umpire's shed next to the pavillion, and in direct line of sight to the bowling club toilets. However, you would have to pop into the pavillion and turn the urn on 10 minutes before the end of the 1st innings, and may therefore miss an important passage of play.

That's handy Statto - the only wagon wheels we usually get are at teatime!

No wories - 5th Chertsey Scout Group has been put on standby and are crouched on the boundary's edge munching Viscount biscuits and drinking square cartons of Ki-ora.

However, not to worry, it's a well known local fact that the clouds tend to split around StAnnes Hill ( a local picnic beautyspot) and the Lyne Sewage works, so we should be alright.

I'd like Olly to take the first over, and I can't remember who will be facing the first ball.
