Purpose in life

Just wanted to find out , what every one thinks is their purpose in life? Do you think you were brought here for a reason , and what will happen after you die? I know this is strange question, at an even stranger time, but I just wanted to know. It's ok if you're not comfortable in disclosing or if you haven't found an answer already, you can, in that case, chose not to reply to this thread.

Well I suppose that the main one is to reproduce, I'm a little on the fence with any purpose for me personally, I have never really either thought of one or found one. I suppose it depends on religion etc. as this determines what you seek in life.

Hmm, interesting question. I suppose I'd say 'to do the best I can', which is rather simplistic but probably sums it up in a nutshell!!

I think there's something God wants me to do, although I'm not entirely sure exactly what it is yet.

I see no purpose of my life whatsoever and have not tried to find out either. Podering into such difficult questions only make you disappointed when you realise that nothing is under your control.

To make my familiy's life difficult apparently.

I've always thought that I have purpouse, however it's of my own making. i.e I choose to become involved with social justice groups e.c.t I dont like the idea that somebody (or something), created me and set out a life plan for me or even just decided that I should want to achive certain things.

Have a good time really. Knuckle down in Year 12, apart from that, drink and have fun. I want to become a journalist but whether it will happen I don't know.

Agree with Beny; life's what you make of it, i.e. you have to do something, not at anybody else's calling.

I have absolutely no idea what my purpose in life is. I never have done, and I'm beginning to wonder if I ever will. I tend to bounce around stuff, never quite fully committing or understanding. I don't have a trade, I don't have a lot of money and I am not a fiercely driven man. Beer, Pasta and Biscuits make me happy, but as I have recently been diagnosed as diabetic I can't really indulge in much of those any more.

I suppose my purpose in life is to care and provide for my girlfriend (the long suffering Nurse Betty) and our two little girls, to make sure both of our parents are comfortable in their dotage and to exchange help with my mates as and when we need it.

I am a man of limited intelligence and ambition, and tend to walk about with a bemused air, hoping one day that the call from Duncan Fletcher will come. I've never been arrested or committed a (major) act of vandalism, and have rarely made anyone cry - but often make them laugh (sometimes not intentionally). However Zainub, I firmly believe that one day a task will come into my life, I shall achieve it - and all will be well.

Perhaps having a cup of tea and a biscuit, whilst waiting for that fateful day to come is my purpose in life?
