I love every minute of Man U on the decline because so many bandwagon supporters got on their club due to the likes of David Beckham and the treble winning year. Now where have they all gone?!?! Another reason why I love it is because yes they were good and it's good to see a new order coming up.

Can't wait to see Chelsea on the decline. Will Fergie go? He'll leave when he feels it's time. No way will he be sacked.

He wont be sacked, but will retire at the end of theseason, with a "coach" coming in soon after, either italian or south american. The side than changes its name to the salford bucenneers.

I don't know if Fergie will be sacked. Before the Glazers moved in, I'd have said definitely not, because of everything the club has been through with Fergie. A new broom sweeping clean? I think it's still a 'no'. The Glazers know Fergie has achieved more than any other manager, so they'll probably back him.

Personally, I think Fergie should retire at the end of the season. In previous years, when Fergie said he believed in his players, you knew he was right, and they'd come back and win the league. These days he's looking a bit like that Iraqi information minister who had to proclaim that Iraq was winning the war when America were acually camped all around Baghdad. Fergie will publicly back his players, but his comments sound hollow. It's obvious his team aren't a match for the Man U sides of the last 10 years.

I don't think Man Utd will be kings again inside the next 3 years, so he should allow someone else to take up the challenge. Ottmar Hitzfeld has said he wants the Man Utd job. Whoever comes in will have to rebuild. Giggs and Scholes are starting to age. Gary Neville is also over 30 now. Rooney is class, and Ronaldo will be class if he concentrates on playing football instead of posturing. Rio Ferdinand is a cocky, over-rated prima donna. He never gets his backside dirty, which is essential for any centre back. Last night he would have cut out the cross for Benfica's first goal if he had thrown himself at it. Instead he sayed on his feet, as he always does, and then watched (looking surprised for some reason) as Geovanni threw himself at it and headed it in. £30m - the guy is a joke and I really hope Sven picks Campbell in the world cup.

As a Liverpool fan, I like seeing the Scouse Reds doing better than the Manc Reds (at least in Europe). But a top Man U side has been part of the fabric of English football for over 10 years now. I'd like to see Man U being competitive, and I much preferred seeing the home-grown team with Giggs, Scholes, the Nevilles, Butt and Beckham conquering Europe than watching Chelsea's mercenary imports.

I'm a Manchester United fan, shame they lost. Ruud Van Nistelrooy is my favourite player.

I'm afraid you may have to get used to it in the future, i can see united fortunes getting worse before it gets better.

Possibly the 1950s, again at MUFC: Charlton, Edwards, Taylor etc. Sadly we never knew how good they could become. Edwards was 21 when he died. Remember, Man Utd have been in far worse places than where they are today. They were champions of Europe 10 years after Munich.
