I think Inzi and Ian Austin would probably give Gatt a run for his money. However, the daddy of them all, I'm reliably informed by my father - is Colin Milburn. Those of you who don't know of him, go and look him up - suffice it to say - he didn't do singles!!

David Boon? He was a good beer drinker, perhaps Inzi would win.

Ok, so we're allowing retired cricketers into the competetion too.

More nominations could be

Ranatunga
DeSilva
Edo Barnes
And Miandad, towards the later stages of his career

The whole England batting line-up (Bell aside) did very well at pie-eating in the summer. They tucked into the range of pies offered up by the likes of Gillespie, Kasprowicz and Tait

Dont worry, Aus fans. I'm sure you'll have your revenge. Bring back 'Boof', and the pies may just be on us poms next time.

Ahhh, two fantastic options for the jury to consider -

Zimbabwe's legendary - Richie Kashlua, who weighed over 280lbs when he played

Bermuda's man mountain - Dwayne Leverock

Suspiciously, both are Slow Left Armers - hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

In my experience, SLAs are much more adept at bowling pies than eating them! I've seen the lives of fieldsmen being endangered when a SLA is 'operating' from one end. 'Operating' meaning 'removing short leg's head'.

How dare you! You obviously know nothing about crickets finest artform, and even less so about pastry based snacks!

Perhaps if the King of Spain was a bit fatter he'd also be a bit better!

The King of Spain is a 'lean, mean, low-fat spinning machine' (whereas George Foreman is just 'fat'). If Gilo was a chunkster, he wouldn't be able to get his stubby fingers round the ball to turn it square. Whereas pieman Warnie ... hang on ... I've got this all wrong. Maybe Gilo would be better if he was fat. Call David Graveney! Tell him to fatten up that goose for Gilo's Xmas feast.
