The Bracewell XI

I was driving to a job this morning and heard Radio Sport talking about the players who had retired in recent times and from that I've been thinking about an eleven made of players who have retired or made themselves unavailable for test cricket since Bracewell took the reins.

I've come up with:

1. M. Richardson
2. L. Vincent
3. H. Marshall
4. S. Fleming
5. S. Styris
6. N. Astle
7. C. McMillan
8. C. Cairns
9. A. Adams
10. S. Bond
11. D. Tuffey

There might be other players but these were the guys who came to mind straight away. It's a pretty damn good side too and would likely beat the blackcaps team heading to the tests in England in May. Of course not all these players left because of Bracewell (Ric Charlesworth played his part too) and there are other things like the ICL going on but still it's an amazing list. Most of the guys retired in the last year too.

Damn - that's a very good team! From the top of my head the only guys who didn't retire in the last year would be Rigor, Cairns, and Astle

It'd be interesting to tally up the number of ODI / Test runs, wickets and appearances from that lot to see just how much experience has left the team...
