| for some reason i was a big fan of bryan young - although one big innings aside he was largely unspectacular, gave up the gloves to concentrate on batting and ended up opening for NZ in tests (sound familiar) as a kid i always liked martin crowe (who didn't), chats and ian smith of hte current crop i'd have to say mccullum is my pick - i rate his play and attitude quite highly - but then maybe i just have a thing for keepers (?) have to agree that the future of NZ cricket lies with mccullum, oram, and vettori - with possibly butler, canning, how and taylor waiting in the wings . . . |
