I think Astle's being used to far up the order, he seems to have trouble scoring qickly early in his innings and thus places himself under pressure to score and this causes errors. He should move down to 4 or 5, problem is, middle order is crammed with possible players and there are few replacements to open.

Favourite player is definately Vincent. He's one of the only one's with real talent. Sometimes I just watch the game until Vincent gets out and then turn it off because the rest doesnt interest me. Butler as well. And 3rd is probably Franklin. Always hope those three do well.

Lance Cairns, no competition. A real eccentric in an otherwise dull side. Those massive inswingers off the wrong foot, and six-hitting that would make Flintoff look puny.

I like Vetorri personally. He bowls well more often than not...and he can give the ball a good smack down the order...lovely stuff.

I'd say Bond is a far better fast bowler than Vettori, especially considering Vettori's a spinner

it has to be vettori for me, love watching him bowl, the way he might not get too much spin, but will toss the ball up and give it a lot of flight. also he is ever inproving with the bat, turning into a very good allrounder. i am only young so i did not get the chance to see the hadlees or crowes live, but enjoyed the likes of cairns and fleming also. my fave nz inning of all time came when n astle hit the fastest ever double hundred against england, a losing cause but never the less, top knock!

Vettori's batting average in the last two years is above 40 in tests i believe. Feel free to correct me if i'm wrong. I'm pretty sure the commentators said this during the first test against SA the other day though.
