Vettori with Cairns were the best players of the tsunami match. one of those two should have got man of the match

for some reason i was a big fan of bryan young - although one big innings aside he was largely unspectacular, gave up the gloves to concentrate on batting and ended up opening for NZ in tests (sound familiar)

as a kid i always liked martin crowe (who didn't), chats and ian smith

of hte current crop i'd have to say mccullum is my pick - i rate his play and attitude quite highly - but then maybe i just have a thing for keepers (?)

have to agree that the future of NZ cricket lies with mccullum, oram, and vettori - with possibly butler, canning, how and taylor waiting in the wings . . .

I can vaguely understand your writing but anyway...

Ponting 115, Cairns 69 off about 45 balls, Lara 52. World XI 8/344

Asia XI never got going Vettori took 3/56 and Dravid made 75 not out. They ended up getting done by more than 100 runs.
