While he had time away from the bowling crease he worked hard at his batting, apparently batting at 4 for his club side. now for canterbury he just scored 100 - his maiden FC century

he's also taken 1-39 off 10 so far while bowling yesterday but the game continues . . .

I never knew Bond could bat that well. I look forward to seeing him play for NZ, seems like an age the last time that happened.

Bond's batting really isn't that bad, he crashed India and South Africa for a barrage of sixes batting at no.11

Untapped potential there.

Full figures for that last game:

O M R W
23 8 60 4 1st innings
10 1 22 1 2nd innings

coupled with 100 in Canterburys only turn at bat not a bad game for mr bond . . . but don't tell anybody - i don't want to jinx it

Thanks for the updates, Mr Kiwi, good to see the progress....

The Zimbabwe Tour in September will be good, as he'll get an easy lead up game, and then will be able to bowl to the likes of Maregwede and Rogers to get easy scalps, but will have to work harder against the gritty Trevor Gripper, classy Craig Wishart and elegant Stuart Carlisle...He'll get a mixed bag in Zimbabwe.....PS Mr Kiwi, has their been any talk in NZ about a cancellation to touring Zimbabwe??? Lets hope not.

I haven't heard of any cancellations as it. It would be disappointing if there was.

Imagine if NZ had had Bond and Oram fit to play against us Aussies! I think it would have been a very very competitive test series.

The guy they miss right now is probably Mark Richardson. He gave them stability at the top, at the moment theyre ridiculously fragile there.
