| He ll apparently be back before the series in February. Last time Bondy was out here Keith "Mr. Boring" Stackpole kept insisting he buy a Lotto ticket on the way home as he'd probably win that too. |

| I believe Bond himself has no intention of rushing anything. And it was a quiet return to domestic cricket. Bond knows this is his last chance and wants to take it slow. Word is that if his return is successful, he may return to the Black Caps at the end of the year.

| I just hope he doesn't cop a media flakking if he doesn't perform. Its a big ask to get back to his original standard.

| for those who are interested: Canterbury vs Central Districts SE Bond O-19 M-5 R-85 W-1 (9nb, 1wd) he bowled all 19 overs in one day (CD got to 500 and then bowled Cant out twice - yay) and i was half watching his figures. i think he tired cause his economy rate went up as the day went on early days yet |

| Decent...Maybe a good time to play him will be in the Zimbabwe tour in September, where he can send a few down against sub par quality sides. |

| and in the second game of his comeback: 1st: O 11, M 1, R 42, W 1 (0nb, 0wd) 2nd: O 20, M 5, R 51, W 2 (3nb, 0wd) looks like he's slowly getting back into his work - though as has been said i don't think it should be over hyped or rushed in. better to write of a summer against hte aussies and concentrate on next season - or as you say a zimbabwe tour. i'll keep one eye on him - but will have the other eye on a bondless future . . . |
