| Its strange but Butler doesnt seem to be favoured by the selectors, despite being imo the only current pace bowler with any real potential. Agreed with Martin and Mills, both very pedestrian.. at best. I don't think James Franklin is too bad though, as a swing bowler.

| I think that James Franklin is 'Donkey's Knob' (a bit of cockney rhyming slang for you there) for NZ and looks a real good prospect.

| have to say i agree with all the above conversation ie: butler should be playing - he may be wayward on occasions but he's the only bowler NZ have capable of running through a team - and franklin is the business, i thought he played well vs aus and SL when given the chance but getting back to the original topic (sorry) bond has been named in the NZ Academy team to aus in june or something, presumably the first step to a full comeback in zimbabwe in august |
