Talking Brace yourselves!

Sorry, I just had too...

John Bracewell has been re-appointed as Kiwi coach. Till April 2009. BLACKCAPS, the official website

Other appointments:

Bowling coach - Dayle Hadlee
Head batting coach - Mark 'o Neill

Former India coach John Wright was roped in for the HPC.

Can't say I'm much of a Bracewell fan but having John Wright hovering over him in the wonderfully vague "high performance role" is not going to do him any favours. If the NZC don't think that the presence of a proven world class coach working with first team players is going to undermine Bracewell then they really are not the sharpest tools in the shed and it will only take the one poor run of results for Bracewell to be shunted out and Wright to find himself moved into the hot seat.

(Though fingers crossed they will have learnt from the England rugby teams Andrew/Robinson partnership and not seat Wright directly behind him during the games )
