Bracewell begone

Long have Nz cricket followers thought John Bracewell should resign as black caps coach.

Now Nathan Astle and Stephen Fleming have come out in Astle's new book to say JB forced the senior players (astle, cairns etc) into early retirement through poor coaching ability and lack of communication.

Stuff.co.nz have a piece on it here ---> Stars 'driven out' of Black Caps - book - New Zealand's source for sport, rugby, cricket & league news on Stuff.co.nz

Makes you wonder why john Wright wasn't handed the job instea of the wishy washy performance spot he's got now which noone is sure what it involves.

Its what I have been saying for a couple of years now. I think its saying what any vaguely sane follower of NZ cricket has known for a while. The only people who can't seem to see it or aren't willing to do anything about it are the people at NZC. Hopefully the new guy will be a little bit more proactive than the laissez-faire Martin Sneddon. Good luck for the 2011 Rugby World Cup with 'Mr Hands-off' at the helm!

get rid of braces

Time for Black Caps to take those braces off!! Team is not even showing any fight against those @#$% Sth Africans. Bring on John Wright, we need better batting coaching.

This is all very similar to the dark days of the mid 90's when Glenn Turner was in charge and the team just didn't respect the coach. Unbelievable they didn't get John Wright. Or failing that bring back Steve Rixon.
