*sigh*

I think I've found my mantra for the coming summer - one to both keep me inspired and hopefully deflect the slings and arrows coming my way when stating my support for 'our summer game'

At least the Black Caps get to the semis...

After the just completed test I can tell it's going to be a long, long summer.

And while I'm here, a quick perusal of todays domestic action turns up a proven test opener doing rather well, though unfortunately he's oddly out of favour...

This would normally lead into a rant about the selectors, though this is rather pointless as (so far as I'm aware) they have nothing to do with choosing the coach.

I havn't seen the results from today yet but was that Sinclair by any chance? I heard a comment on Radio Sport today along the lines of how he was doing well why'll the top order crumbled around him. I figured that'd come in handy in the republic since our best batsman is at number 8.

Maybe it's not such a bad thing that we have Bangaladesh coming this year.....unless they beat us of course. We are really feeling the retirements of Astle and McMillan, there experience would have really helped out. But isn't it funny that when it was announced that Papps and Cumming were going to open eryone knew that would get out cheaply. I would have much preferred to see Vincent and Sinclair opening as experience is really the key. Hell, even Chris Harris would do a better job of opening.

Yes,not a bad winter for England to be going to New Zealand.I know it isn't for a few months but you wonder if they are capable of rebuilding the team that quickly. All sides go through transition phases,we are going through one ourselves with our bowling line up and it takes time for it to be sorted.
