Yes well I remember forecasting that England would beat new Zealand in 2004'ish, and of course I was proved right.

However that was a very easy prediction to make because at that time England were at the top of their game, and seemed on an unstoppable roll.

But I am not being fooled by England winning two 20/20 games, I believe that the test series will be a lot closer - IMO to close to call.

I haven't a clue who will win either the one day or the test series, which makes for better cricket IMO.

I don't know Ern,they look a pretty weak side at the moment due to all the retirements and i fancy us to win both the upcoming series.

It says a lot about how weak they are that i fancy us to do well after the debacle in Sri Lanka but New Zealand have always been a side who punched above their weight with a relatively thin squad and with most of their best players now gone it may take time for them to regroup so if we don't capitalise and beat them i will be rather annoyed.

After watching the second T20 game last night I think it's pretty clear that NZ have still got to go down before they will be able to start heading back up.

Is it inevitable that every NZ thread on this board turns into a 'fire the coach' plea?

Isn't that the case already?

I think individual performances might give New Zealand victory in a couple of the one dayers but we don't have enough quality bowling options to win any of the test matches, plus our batsmen don't play enoguh of them to learn patience.
It wont rain in New Zealand anytiem soon so that wont save us - 3-0 to Eng in the test and 3-2 to them in the ODIs is my prediction. Perhaps a draw in one of the test, perhaps.
