Just checked the respective figures for Twose and Jones. Twose averaged 38.8 against Jones' 35. But the real difference for me is in strike rates- Jones' was 57, which even by the standards of his day was slow, while Twose's was a very healthy 75. So that clinches the argument for me.

This threads gone stale so let me throw something into the mix since I'm not convinced Twose whould be our number five, I'm leaning towards Andrew Jones. With the recent talk on Kiwis making the top of the ODI rankings it was revealed Andrew Jones was once ranked the number 2 ODI batsman, second only to the one and only Dean Jones. I don't think Twosey was ever held in such high regard compared to players of his era.

I forgot about Andrew Jones,he was another player who retired relatively early but there is no doubting his ability.The problem i have is who do i drop to put him in.
