Black day for the Black caps

What a shocker.
2 days of effort
1 1/2 days of poor bowling and batting.
351 1st inns and still an Innings & 156 run loss
What went wrong
Glen McGrath 61 runs (1 six) (the coffin nail that really hurts)
RIP Kiwis

Typical Australia...ever so ruthless

Typical Australian this win. Ruthless in finishing off matches, they never let NZ off the hook, and dominated non stop from the very moment Clarke and Martyn got together to bat. Very dissapointing performance from the Kiwi batsmen second time around though, not doubt about that. I was hoping after their competetive first innings total they could at least take the game in the last day, but they didn't even come remotely close to that.

But must have been good bowling by Pigeon, Dizzy and Warnie, especially since I thought it looked like a pretty decent wicket to bat on. To get them shot out for less than 100 on a wicket that was so comfortable for batting even McGrath and Gellespie managed to score 50s...that just tells me two things a)NZ captitulating badly under pressure b)Australia bowling very well.

Still another match to go. Never write off the Kiwis.

NZ are a team who don't posses the talent to consistantly beat teams. Their winning potential is in their psych and hard work. I think that they were just so down in the dumps after the Aussie batting and not least the 100 run tenth wicket stand. That they simmply did not want to be there.

They will bounce back.

Hey all, first post here.

Yeah the Blackcaps were somewhat terrible in the last two days. The inability to close off the Australian innings is what really got them, the last wicket stand. They could argue some dodgy decisions, but really there are no excuses. If Australian bat first at Adelaide, it could be more of the same.

Haha yes, bit of a strange combination I guess, I am Indian by the way.
I support both those teams because of their natural flair, not a big New Zealand fan I'm afraid.

Fair enough. you've got fantastic english for an Indian (better than mine- notice the bad grammer in that sentence).
