11 years in the wilderness , you should of left him there.

Jeff Wilson ?

Medium pace 30 something pie thrower!
Why did New Zealand pick him in the one-dayer what happened to looking to the future , the selectors are obviously stuck in the past.
Martin Sneddon & Ewan Chatfeild will be fronting up next.

Yeah I get the feeling it was all hype, against quality batting there is a good chance he will spray it everywhere.

Who would you have selected in his place? Are you sure you are not using him as a scapegoat? Still annoyed about that tackle Gregan made on him that lost NZ the test a few years back? Come on, even the greats have a bad day - that,s the nature of ODI,s

I think Wilson should have been recalled a bit later on the year. Probably not a good idea to take on Australia, the best team in the world, for his comeback matches! He's rusty and needs some more international experience. As for who else they could of picked there are plenty of options...Butler and Adams spring to mind.

I absolutely agree, taking on the best in the business first up is asking for trouble really.
