| Muralitharan, regardless of all the bio-mechanics reviews, looks just awful head on. Fidel Edwards looks as though he is going to tear himself apart if he carries on as he now bowls for more than another couple of seasons. |

| Paul Adams - you can't ask for a worse action than that.

| Phil Tufnell, Sid Lawrence, Patrick Patterson off the top of my head. Terry Alderman always used to annoy me as well with that ridiculous mince (mainly 'cos it was so bloody effective!) Richard Dawson seems to have developed some odd embellishments to his action of late - he now rehearses the delivery in miniature during the run-up, a bit like a boxer winding up a punch. Most bizarre. |

| Derek Pringle has a funny action. But it has to be Paul Adams, full stop. Worst action ever. Horrible. |

| The worst action I have seen actually belongs to one of the top 5 bowlers I have ever seen. Mike Proctor. He defied all notions of how to bowl and probably swung the ball more than anyone from around the wicket. |

| His stock ball is what could be described as a Chinaman, an off-break bowled by a left-armer using the wrist. However, ha cannot bowl a googly as we would descibe it and so actually for variation bowls with a completly different grip to get the ball to turn as a leg-break. |

| Hi ff, Are you sure it's called a chinaman, I think he is just a left arm wrist, which would make the ball move into the bat, if he made the ball go away from the bat, surley that would just be achieved by normal slow left arm finger spin(like Giles). A slow left arm orthadox spin bowler, is different I think from a leg spin bowler, even though they both move the ball away fron the bat, so the same must be "visa versa". Ern |

| Ern, Just thought about it and I think you may be right...I think he is a wrist spin bowler with the ball the googly as his stock ball.. he then changes his grip to get the ball to go the other way (i.e. an off-break) I am all very confused now..... |

I have thought about it for a while, take Giles he move the ball away from the RH bat, yet is not called a leg spin bowler who does the same. I can only think it has to do with the action, and the angle of delivery. So Adams if I am right, even though turning the ball in to the RH bat, is not a off spinner in the conventional sense. It is confusing, I was even more confused one day, when Tuffers was described as a off spin bowler on the telly. Ern |
