ICC Intercontinental Cup Well it looks like Scotland have had a great start and should win the champinship. Admitedly they did play the Kenya "B" team, however, if they did win, what does this mean for the possibilities of Test status. I would like to see them included in the County Championship, but it may be better if they created theri own First-Class competition, would that be feasable. Basically what is the possiblites of developing Scotland into a Test team? Is it possible, is it a good thing? Would it be too early? Unlike Bangladesh, they do not have a fan base...How soon would be too soon?

Seeing Bangladesh now, I think anything before 2010 would be a hurry, same goes for Kenya, Canada or anyone else wishing to get test status.

I also agree, But I raised the question because it is bound to come up. My view is that to get Test status ICC team's need to:- 1. Create an effective Domestic First Class Competition 2. Demonstrate a consistent ability to beat other non-Test nations 3. Perform to a consistently High Level at World Cups 4. Obtain ODI status and win games 5. Create a player programme with if possible an Academy I think this process is too often rushed and often based on one-off victories at World Cup.
