| I am sure it does count. However the points you get for a series or a match win depend on who your opponent is, and whait their current points total is. So currently, a 5-0 win over Zimb would get slightly more points than a 5-0 win over Bangla or Kenya, as Zimbabwe have more points than either of these. The points system is structured to take into account who the opposition is, but as it is an objective measure, it does so based on their points, not how good they actually are on the day. Hence Zimbabwe's current woes are not taken into account, their ranking and points total is.

| Whether we like it or not, it was an official farce, so it counts. I see England gained a point from that particular mis-match and Zimbabwe lost one (a bit harsh on Zimbabwe really).

| Actually, I'm not sure that's right. England might have gained two (there was no other one day cricket involving England since the end of October, was there?). Zimbabwe lost a point between 30/11 and 5/12, and another couple over the previous month. Can't remember what their schedule was either, so it could be that the England tour cost them three points. Based on these last two posts of mine, I think we can safely say that Aggers and Benaud are safe in their jobs for the time being!

| Zimbabwe / Zimbabyou The Austrailians had their turn at improving their averages (except Glen McGrath!) against the ZANU-PF Zimbabwean select XI (little bit of politics) in the three match ODI tour of May. Quote:
