Bravo is definately a lucky man, of that 12, he is my 12th man for sure. Apart from that, not too many complaints. Matt Hayden isn't that great an ODI player in my opinion. His average is high but of late he has had trouble forcing any sort of pace. This gets quickly masked through Gilchrists rampage however.

Point taken about Hayden, however I don't think there is anybody else who really puts their hand up.

Bravo is a good player Once again I dont think anybody else is puting their hand up. Obviously rated by Haddle and Waugh.

Pleased to see Dwayne Bravo (speaks something about his talent getting selected in such a high profile team) and Dazler in there. Interesting that Tugga and Sir Hadlee stuck with Punter as the skipper, wonder how close Stephen Flemming must have come to being considered as captain. In any case, I really don't care who gets selected and who doesn't, I'll happily and gladly watch whatever they come up with, too noble a cause this for which this game is being played to fret over selection, I'm really just looking forward to this game. That's it.

On the Inzi thing, I for once, in this case at least, don't care what the rating says, I too tend to think the ODI ratings are less accurate then the test ratings (I know that sounds a bizarre thing to say but just seems to me like that for some reason I have no clue why...)...anyway I just think that Inzi has been in fab form since the world cup, and personally I'll exchange him for no one in the world for our ODI team (at least) right now. I don't know how fit he is right now, so I can't say if he'll be selected for the Asian XI, I certainly hope so.

Ratings mean very little to me too, Sehwag is a real gamebreaker in my opinion, yet his is nowhere in the ODI ratings. Its an unpredictable sort of game, good players can get easily unrecognised.

Asia squad has been announced.

Sourav Ganguly (Ind, capt), Sanath Jayasuriya (SL), Virender Sehwag (Ind), Sachin Tendulkar (Ind), Marvan Atapattu (SL), Rahul Dravid (Ind), Yousuf Youhana (Pak), Alok Kapali (Bang), Kumar Sangakkara (SL, wk), Chaminda Vaas (SL), Shoaib Akhtar (Pak), Anil Kumble (Ind), Muttiah Muralitharan (SL) and Zaheer Khan (Ind).

What on EARTH is Sourav doing there IMO. Alok Kapali !!?? And where is Irfan Pathan?? Apart from those, the squad looks decent enough to me.

Yeh it aint the "Best of Asia" vs. the "Best of the Rest"...

It's simply a charity game and that is why the non-best squad has been chosen.

We have to remember that, don't we...I certainly haven't got any hard feelings for the selecors over people I thought should be playing being left out ( like Inzi for instance)...it's a charity game as you say, so its understandable some what.
