yes I agree with you, But in kabir Alis last 3 overs[Las two in last match) he has conceded 56 runs, that eclipses both Wharf and Anderson.

When Vaughan is forced to bowl Collingwood and Tresco so early on, things are desperate,

Spot on about Colly and Tres being on so early. The Saffers must be loving this!

At least Collingwood and Trescothick have temporarily stopped the boundaries - they've only been taken for singles and 2s in the last 2 overs or so

Unless someone decides to take 2 hattricks in one over, I think we've lost the match

He has done some, but generally only as a stand in.
Don't get me wrong I would not drop Vaughan or take the captaincy off him.
I just don't think Trescothic is thinking on his feet well enough, and I'm not sure that captaining a county in a 4 day match when you have more time to think things through is the same as performing in one dayers.

A couple of wickets can change things Pete. Though I do suspect we'll be chasing 290+ again.

Yeah, there was a match in the caribbean last year where I think we had over 100 in the first 15 overs and still only got upto around 279.

I'll try and find the scorecard.

Hmm Collingwood's actually bowled well , last over went for only 2 runs, although SA still right on top, end of 15 over fielding restrictions, SA 88-1

ps: the only two Englishmen to take hat ticks in one-days are both not playing in the eleven, but they are in the squad, they are Harmison and Anderson

I am sure the highest winning score on this ground is about 210,batting last. but the boundry ropes are some 20 mtrs in for this match.

So can the batsmen cover up for the bowlers?.
maybe!
